This is a weekly meme hosted by J. Kaye’s Book Blog. Each week on Monday we tell what we read the previous week and what we plan to read in the upcoming week.
Last week I was back at work for 4 whole days (I know, I know I should be quiet since I’ve been off all summer), so my reading was limited. I did finish Alibi Junior High by Greg Logsted. You can see my review here. It was a nice, perfect for middle schoolers, book.
This week I’ve started Here Today
by Ann M. Martin. It’s the first book in my Random Reading Challenge
. I was kinda crabby when I was “assigned” this one. For some reason I’d been avoiding it. I guess the challenge is there for that reason! The beginning of it has been slow, but the section I read last night made me cry. I guess we’ll see how the ending goes.
I also plan to read When You Reach Me
by Rebecca Stead. I’ve heard such good things about this book that when I got a great coupon from Borders, I ran and got it. Fingers crossed that it’s as good as people say. I hate when I hear great things about a book only to be let down when I read it.
Happy reading week to you! I’ll be starting back with students, so I’ll be busy!
